Protect wildlife.
Support those who serve.
VWRA exists to protect Africa's most vulnerable wildlife, give post-9/11 veterans a renewed sense of purpose, and strengthen the local communities that make conservation possible. One mission. Three causes advanced with every dollar.

A coalition for wildlife — and for the people who protect it.
We are a coalition of military veterans and conservation partners working to protect Africa's most vulnerable wildlife and empower the people who safeguard it. Conservation isn't just about protecting animals — it's about creating purpose, opportunity, and security for both people and the planet.

Train & equip rangers.
Train and equip wildlife rangers to meet the complex and dangerous challenges they face on the ground every day.

Protect habitats.
Expand and protect habitats for endangered species — including black and white rhinos, cheetahs, and the wider ecosystem they depend on.

Mobilize the world.
Raise global awareness and offer real pathways for individuals to make a direct impact on conservation.
The wildlife mission is also a healing mission.
18 US veterans die by suicide every day.
More than 120,000 since 2001 — exceeding US combat deaths from every war since Vietnam combined.
The strongest known protective factors against veteran suicide. VWRA protects wildlife and gives veterans a reason to keep going. Every donation moves both forward at the same time.
Where we're going next.
Africa's wildlife faces growing threats from poaching, trafficking, habitat loss, and rising human-wildlife conflict. With the right tools and training, we believe we can reverse the tide. Over the next two years, we aim to:
Relocate six white rhinos to areas where genetic diversity is needed — preventing overcrowding and protecting them from sale to non-ethical hunting lodges.
Film the rhino relocation to educate conservationists and landowners about alternatives to culling.
Deploy veteran-led teams to new reserves across Africa to extend on-the-ground capacity.
Implement elevated security and conservation protocols for endangered species and habitats.
Expand ranger training programs and support wildlife relocation in critical ecosystems.
Lay the groundwork for founding our own reserve — a model for sustainable, community-integrated conservation.
By 2030 — a pan-African force for conservation.
Establishing our own reserve focused on rhino and cheetah repopulation; forming conservation task forces of international veterans and local leaders for high-risk zones; doubling our donor and volunteer programs; and publishing conservation data and success stories that contribute to global best practices and transparency.
Join the mission. Shape the future.
Whether you're a donor, volunteer, veteran, or someone who simply believes in protecting what is wild and worth saving — there's a role for you in this mission. The future of conservation won't be written in boardrooms. It will be written in the bush, in the field, and in the lives we protect together.
